PUBLIC NOTICE ¶ THE BOARD OF ELE-CTIONS OF VENANGO COUNTY HEREBY GIV-ES NOTICE, pursuant to the Electronic Voting Systems Chapter of the Pennsylvania Election Code, and specifically pursuant to Section 3031.10 (D) thereof, that preparation of an electronic voting system and its components for use in all election districts in Venango County will be started by Custodians appointed by the Board beginning at 9:00 A.M. on Monday April 13, 2026, in the basement of the Venango County Courthouse, 1174 Elk Street, Franklin, Ven-ango County, Pennsylvania, 16323. ¶ Pursuant to Section 3031.10, it is the right of the Chairman of the County Committee of each political party which is entitled under existing laws to participate in Primary, Municipal, Special and General Elections within Venango County, and the chairman or presiding officer of any organization of citizens within Venango County which has as its purposes the investigation or prosecution of election frauds and which has registered its name and address and the names of its principal officers with the Venango County Board of Elections at least fifty (50) days before the upcoming election, or of their respective certified representatives, to be present during the preparation of the electronic voting system and its components and to see that they are properly prepared and are in proper condition and order for use. However, such representatives shall not interfere with the preparation of the electronic voting system and its components, and the conduct of such representatives may be subject to such reasonable rules and regu-lations promulgated by the Venango County Board of Elections. ¶ Any qualified person desiring to be present during the preparation of the electronic voting system should contact Laura E Anna, Director of Elections, Venango County Elections Office, 1174 Elk Street, Franklin, PA 16323; (814) 432-9514; or laura.anna@venangocountypa.gov ¶ This Notice is given pursuant to provisions of the Election Voting Systems Chapter of the Election Code in effect in Pennsylvania. PUBLIC NOTICE FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP ¶ At its regular meeting to be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 7:00 P.M., at the Franklin Township Municipal Bui-lding, 191 Election House Road, Prospect, PA 16052, the Board of Supervisors of Franklin Township, Butler County, will take public comment on, consider enactment of, and, if appropriate, enact proposed Ordinance No. 109 which repeals Ordinance Nos. 95 and 106 and authorizes/ratifies the Non-Uniform Pension Plan Contract and all Plan Amend-ments thereto between the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement Board and the Township. Section 1 of the proposed Ordinance is the Township’s election to amend its Non-Uniform Pension Plan and agreement to be bound by all require-ments of Pennsylvania law. Section 2 is the Township’s agreement that the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System shall administer and provide the benefits set forth in the Pension Plan. Section 3 is the Township’s acceptance and ratification of the contract and all plan amendments thereto between the Township and the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement Board. Section 4 is the Township’s agreement that all payment obligations shall be made by the Township. Section 5 establishes the effective date and repeal of Township Ordinance Nos. 95 and 106. Section 6 states that a copy of the Ordinance shall be filed with the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System. The full text of the proposed Ordinance is available for inspection at the Township Municipal Building during normal business hours and is on file with the Butler Eagle.
