LEGAL NOTICE PUBLIC HEARING AGRICULTURAL SECURITY AREA ADDITION To: Citizens of Connoqu-enessing Township, Butler County From: Connoquenessing Township Board of Supervisors Date: April 23, 2026 RE: Public Hearing notice for two additions to our Agricultural Security Area ¶ In accordance with the provisions of the “Agricultural Area Security Law” Act of June 30, 1981, P.L. 128, No. 43, 2, and all revisions to this statute through Act 14 of 2001 (the “Act”), NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held by the Connoquenessing Township Board of Supervisors on the 29th day of April, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. at 102 Township Drive, Renfrew, PA 16053. ¶ The purpose of the Hearing is to review additions to the Connoquenessing Township Agricultural Security Area involving the proposal of the following owners, parcels, and acreage within Connoquenessing Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania. Fassinger Parcel - 120-4F25-1 - 111 Smalstig Road, Evans City, PA - 113.464 acres ¶ The Connoquenessing Township and Butler County Planning Comm-issions and the Connoquenessing Township Agricultural Security Area Advisory Committee has recommended approval of the above subject, proposed addition by the Connoquenessing Township Board of Supervisors. After reviewing and considering the subject agricultural security area addition proposal, the recommendations rela-tive thereto of the Connoquenessing Township and Butler County Planning Commissions and the Connoquenessing Township Agricultural Security Area Advisory Committee, the factors set forth in Section 7 of the Act (3 P.S. 907), and any written or oral comment offered at the public hearing, the Connoquenessing Township Board of Supervisors may proceed, at the conclusion of the public hearing, to adopt the subject proposal or modification of the proposal the board deems appropriate. ¶ The present notice has been published in accordance with the require-ments of the Act of July 3, 1996, PL, 388, No. 84, known as the “Sunshine Act.” True and correct copies of the present notice have also been mailed to all landowners within the proposed agricultural security area. ¶ A copy of this notice is posted at the following public locations: ¶ 1. LEGAL NOTICE SAXONBURG BOROUGH JOHN ROEBLING’S HISTORIC WIRE ROPE WORKSHOP RESTORATION General Notice ¶ Saxonburg Borough (Owners) are requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: John Roebling’s Historic Wire Rope Workshop Restoration Contract No. 2026-1 Bids for the construction of the Project will be received electronically via the PennBid program by Saxonburg Borough until 10:00 A.M. local time, May 26th, 2026. ¶ The Project includes the following Work: ¶ Structural stabilization of the existing stone and timber framing, restoration or replacement of deteriorated roofing and siding materials in-kind, masonry repair and repointing, foundation improvements, drainage enhance-ments, and installation of updated electrical and safety systems. Architectural and engineering services will guide the project to ensure compliance with local codes and the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. Where original materials cannot be salvaged, historically approved replacements will be used to maintain authenticity. The project is located in the Borough of Saxonburg, Butler County. The extent of the work is described in the contract documents. Each Bidder is required to meet the requirements of Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. ¶ Saxonburg Borough hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, and also reserve the right to waive any informality in bids received. ¶ Bidders must comply with all State anti-kickback regulations pertaining to work associated with this project and will be required to submit an executed anti-collusion statement with the bid. ¶ Onsite pre bid inspections will be held on May 11th from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. ¶ Except as otherwise provided by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for sixty (60) days after the Bid Due Date, unless the contract award is delayed by a required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case the Bids shall remain open to acceptance and shall be irrevocable for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days after the Bid Due Date. LEGAL NOTICE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON SUMMARY NOTICE UNDER LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT DEBT ACT ¶ Notice is hereby given that the Jackson Township Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting for general purposes on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 10:00 A.M., in the Jackson Township Municipal Building, located at 140 Magill Road, Zelienople, PA, 16063. During this special meeting, the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Jackson, Butler County, PA will consider, and if appropriate, enact an ordinance (of which this notice is the summary) authorizing lease rental debt and summarized as follows: ¶ Section 1 sets the aggregate principal amount of the Note at $3,000,000.00 for funds to be used for the purpose of the extension of water lines and the construction of a booster station in the areas of the Township along Franklin Road and Pattison Street Extension by the Jackson Municipal Authority. Sections 2, 3, and 4 authorize the incurrence of lease rental debt by the guaranty from the Township of a Revenue Obligation Note of the Jackson Municipal Authority, establishment of a sinking fund, the pledge of the full faith, credit and taxing power of the Township to the payment of the Note as the guaranty, maximum maturity amount, maximum interest rate and the terms and provisions for the payment of the Note. Sections 5 and 6 provide the form of the Note and the Guaranty Agree-ment, which is authorized thereby. Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 provide for the sale of the Note, set forth certain directions for settlement, authorizes Township officials to take all related and necessary actions, designates a Sinking Fund Depository, proclaims that a private sale of the Note is in the best financial interest of the Township, and repeals all other Ordinances insofar as they conflict with the proposed Ordinance. ¶ A copy of the full text of the Ordinance may be examined by any citizen between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday at the Township Municipal Building, located at 140 Magill Road, Zelienople, PA 16063.
