PUBLIC NOTICE FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP At a special meeting to be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. in the Meeting Room of the Franklin Township Muni-cipal Building, 191 Election House Road, Prospect, PA 16052, the Franklin Township, Butler County, Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on and thereafter consider the adoption of, and if appropriate enact, the following proposed ordinance entitled: AN AMENDMENT TO THE FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, BUTLER COU-NTY, PENNSYLVANIA, ZONING ORDINANCE DATED 2018, AS AMENDED, TO AMEND SECTION 202, AMEND SECTION 313-TABLE 6, AND ADD SECTION 461. This proposed ordinance amends the Township Zoning Ordinance as follows: Section 1 a) amends Section 202 by adding a new definition to define the use of Data Center; b) amends Table 6 of Section 313 by removing Solar Energy Production Facility, Large and Wind Energy Production Facility, Large as a conditional use in the A-R Agricultural-Residential Zoning District and adds Solar Energy Production Facility, Large and Data Center as a conditional use in the I General Industrial Zoning District; and c) adds a new Section 461 setting forth the conditions for the Data Center conditional use. Section 2 establishes the severability of the ordinance. Section 3 address conflicts within existing Township ordinance provisions. Section 4 establishes the ordinance effective date. A complete, true and correct copy of the proposed ordinance is on file and may be examined or copied by the public at the Franklin Township Municipal Building, address listed above, Monday - Tuesday and Thursday - Friday 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Closed Wednesdays. A copy of the proposed ordinance is also available for inspection at the newspaper publishing this legal notice and at the Butler County Law Library, 124 West Diamond Street, Butler, PA.
