LEGAL NOTICE EMLENTON BOROUGH ORDINANCE Notice is hereby given that the Council for the Borough of Emlenton will vote to amend Section 4.B of the Nuisance Ordinance of the Borough of Emlenton, Venango County, Pennsylvania (Ordinance #390) at its meeting held at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, June 1, 2026, at the Borough Hall, 511 Hill Street, Emlenton, PA 16373. Proposed Amendment- Section 4.B - Containers The owner or operator of every establishment producing or disposing of trash, garbage, vegetable waste, or recyclable material shall, at all times, utilize an approved container with a close-fitting cover for storage until removal from the premises. Containers shall be maintained in a sanitary condition and shall not emit offensive odors detectable beyond the property line and shall otherwise be maintained so as not to constitute a Nuisance as defined in Section 1 of this Ordinance. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Ordinance relating to notice or time for correction, violations of this Section that result in insect or rodent infestation, maggots or vermin, leakage of putrescible materials, or offensive odors detectable beyond the property line are declared to constitute conditions affecting public health requiring immediate correction upon notice from the Borough, and routine or scheduled emptying shall not be deemed correction or abatement unless full compliance with this Section is achieved. Each day such a violation continues shall constitute a separate offense. All other terms and provisions of the Nuisance Ordinance of the Borough of Emlenton (Ordinance #390), as previously enacted and amended, shall remain in full force and effect except as amended hereby.
