LEGAL NOTICE TO BIDDERS CITY OF BUTLER BUTLER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Sealed Proposals will be received by the City of Butler at the City Build-ing, 140 West North Street, Butler, PA 16001 until 10:30 A.M. prevailing time July 8, 2026 for the following: BUTLER CATHOLIC SCHOOL ZONE FLASHERS Base Bid This project involves the installation of new pedestal signal supports and solar-powered Type I school zone signing along East Locust Street and static post mounted signing along St Mary Street; traffic control; and all associated restoration, complete in place. All Proposals must be in the hands of John Evans, Zoning and Code Management Officer, on or before 10:30 A.M. prevailing time, on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at the City Building, 140 West North Street, Butler, PA 16001 and the same will be publicly opened and read immediately thereafter, Proposals shall be delivered in a sealed envelope and clearly marked on the outside with the words BUTLER CATHOLIC SCHOOL ZONE FLASHERS. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages are required to be paid on this Project. Copies of Drawings, Specifications, Instruc-tions to Bidders, General Conditions, Forms of Proposals and Agree-ment are on file and open to public inspection at the office of The Gateway Engineers, Inc., 100 McMorris Road, Pitts-burgh, PA 15205 where sets of said documents may be obtained, upon payment of fifty ($50.00) dollars per set. An additional charge of ten ($10.00) dollars will be required to mail Contract Documents to prospective Bidders. No refund or exchange will be made for the return of any documents. Electronic copies of the Contract Documents will be made to Bidders at no charge upon request. Performance, Maintenance, and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workmans Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement upon acceptance of the Proposal from the successful Bidder. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidders Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of the City of Butler in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within fifteen (15) days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Proposals must be made to the City of Butler, Butler County, Pennsylvania and shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting his Bid guarantee. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, or any part thereof, for any reason, and also reserves the right to waive any informality therein. Bidders are advised that the City will award the contract to the lowest responsible, responsive, and qualified Bidder for the listed work based on the total bid submitted. However, Bidders are advised that the City expressly reserves the right to reject all bids, and specifically reserves the right to award to the lowest responsible, responsive, and qualified Bidder a contract for all or any portions of the work listed in the Proposal, and in awarding a contract for less than the total work listed, or less than all portions of the work listed, the contract price will be determined from the total quantities for each item listed and the unit price bid for each item listed.
