PUBLIC NOTICE OF SUBMISSION OF RESIDUAL WASTE PERMIT REISSUANCE APPLICATION On or before the end of July 2026, Sonneborn, LLC will submit a Permit Renewal Application to the Pennsylvania Depar-tment of Environmental Protection (PADEP), Waste Management Program, for renewal of the existing Residual Waste Permit No. 300995 for the Sonneborn Petrolia landfill. The waste facility is in Fairview Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania. The facility accepts non-hazardous residual waste from their chemical manufacturing facility. No hazardous waste is accepted at the waste facility. The facilitys permitted design will also be modified for a proposed vertical expansion. Copies of the application will be available for review during normal business hours at the DEPs Northwestern Regional Office, 230 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335. An appointment to review this application must be made with the DEP regional office. Fees for copying may be charged by the DEP. Copies of the application will also be provided by the DEP to Fairview Township and Butler County. Fairview Township and Butler County may submit comments to the DEP within 60 days of receipt of the application, recommending conditions upon, revisions to, and approval or disapproval of the application. The DEP will also accept and consider comments from the public during the permit review. Comments should be sent to Mr. Joel Fair, Facilities Manager, Waste Management Program, 230 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
