LEGAL NOTICE TO BIDDERS BUTLER TOWNSHIP BUTLER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Sealed Proposals will be received by the Butler Township Commission at the Municipal Building, 290 South Duffy Road, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001 until 10:00 A.M. prevailing time on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026 for the following: Preston Park Improvements This project involves pond maintenance dredging, stormwater and access improvements at Preston Park in Butler Township, Butler County, PA. Construction activities to include park access road reconstruction and widening, dredging of the McCormicks pond and conversion to stormwater management wet pond, hauling of dredged material off-site to Hicks Road de-watering site, installation of stormwater conveyance channels, piping, and structures, and installation and maintenance of associated erosion and sediment controls. Proposals shall be delivered in a sealed envelope that is clearly marked on the outside with the appropriate wording Preston Park Improvements to the attention of Mr. Thomas Knights Township Manager, Municipal Building, 290 South Duffy Road, Butler, PA 16001 before 10:00 A.M. prevailing time, Tuesday, September 8th, 2026. The same will be publicly opened and read at the Municipal Building Commission Chambers located at 290 South Duffy Road, Butler, PA 16001, Tuesday, September 8th, 2026, at 10:05 A.M. Pennsylvania Prev-ailing wage rates will be required on this Contract. There is a mandatory pre-bid meeting to be held on August 25th, 2026 at 10:00 A.M., at the Project Site in Preston Park, Butler Township, Butler County PA, 16001. Copies of Drawings, Specifications, Instru-ctions to Bidders, General Conditions, Forms of Proposals and Agreement are on file and open to public inspection at The Gateway Engineers, Inc.; 122 West Brady Street, Butler PA 16001 where sets of said documents may be obtained at a cost of $75.00. Documents will be available beginning on August 19th, 2026. An additional charge of $15.00 is required for Contract Documents mailed to prospective bidders. No refund or exchange will be made for the return of any Documents. Electronic copies of drawings and bid documents are available at no charge. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workmans Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidders Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Butler Township in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within fifteen (15) days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Township reserves the right to waive any bid informalities or to reject any or all bids. If more time is necessary for the determination of the lowest responsible bidder, the Commission of Butler Township reserves the right to award the Contract later but not exceeding sixty (60) days from the date Bids were submitted.
