MARS AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT LEGAL NOTICE OF MEETING AND SUMMARY NOTICE UNDER LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT DEBT ACT Notice is hereby given that the Board of School Directors of the Mars Area School District will consider, at a meeting to be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, beginning at 7:00 P.M. in the board room of the Mars Area School District Administration Office, 545 Route 228, Mars, PA 16046 (or on such other date, not later than 30 days from the date of publication of this notice, and at such time and place, as the Board may lawfully determine), along with such other general business matters as may come before the Board, the adoption of a resolution authorizing non-electoral debt in the presently estimated maximum principal amount of $7,300,000.00 and summarized as follows: Article 1 defines certain terms, including the Bonds and the Project, which consists generally of (a) the design and construction of additions and alterations to Mars Area Elementary School, (b) various and sundry other capital projects throughout the School District and (c) payment of the costs of issuing and insuring the Bonds. Articles 2 and 3 authorize the incurrence of non-electoral debt by the issuance of General Obligation Bonds and establish a sinking fund. Article 4 provides the form, maturity, amounts, interest rates and the terms and provisions for the payment of the Bonds. Articles 5, 6, 7 and 8 address the Sinking Fund Depository, events of default, and amendment and discharge of the security documents. Article 9 contains federal income tax covenants; Article 10, securities law covenants. Article 11 provides for the sale of the Bonds, establishes certain funds and sets forth certain directions for settlement, while Article 12 authorizes other related and necessary actions. The full text of the proposed Resolution may be examined by any citizen between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. on regular school business days at the Administrative Offices of Mars Area School District, 545 Route 228, Mars, PA 16046. PENN TOWNSHIP LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that at its regular meeting to be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 6:00 P.M., at the Penn Township Municipal Building, 157 East Airport Road Butler, PA 16002, the Board of Supervisors of Penn Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, will conduct a public hearing on and thereafter consider the adoption of, and if appropriate enact, proposed Township Ordinance No. 183 entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PENN, BUTLER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AME-NDING TOWNSHIP ORDINANCE NO. 166 KNOWN AS THE PENN TOWNSHIP ZONING ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH REGUL-ATIONS, SPECIFI-CATIONS, AND RESTRICTIONS FOR THE DATA CENTER USE AND ACCESSORY USES / STRUCTURES ASSOCIATED WITH THE DATA CENTER USE IN THE TOWNSHIP. This proposed Ordinance regulates the use of Data Centers and accessory structures within the Township as follows: Section 1 amends Appendix A of the Zoning Ordinance by adding new definitions regarding the Data Center use and associated terms. Section 2 amends the Township Use Table in Section 2.07 of the Zoning Ordinance to establish Data Centers as a conditional use in the Limited Industrial (I-L) Zoning District. Section 3 amends Chapter 8 of the Zoning Ordinance to include Data Center as a conditional use in the Limited Industrial Zoning District. Section 4 sets forth parking space requirements for the Data Centers and accessory structures. Section 5 sets forth the specific criteria for the Data Center use and includes application requirements, building placement and orientation standards, lot dimensional criteria, mandatory height, buffer yard, and setback requirements, noise and vibration requirements, power, water, fire, and safety criteria, and environmental requirements. Section 6 establishes the severability of the Ordinance. Section 7 addresses conflicts with existing Township ordinance provisions and Section 8 establishes that the Ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.
