LEGAL NOTICE TO BIDDERS CITY OF BUTLER BUTLER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Sealed Proposals will be received by the City of Butler, Butler County, Pennsylvania for the Tier Parking Garage Masonry Repairs Project within the City of Butler, Pennsylvania. The project will include: This project involve repairs to a 5-story parking garage, including but not limited to, structural steel repairs; facade repairs including tuckpointing, masonry rebuild, flashing, resetting of capstones and caulking, any and all mobilization, General Condition requirements, dust control, pedestrian and vehicular traffic control, notifications, temporary facilities, safety equipment, site photography, project management, and restoration of disturbed areas shall be considered incidental to this Contract. All proposals shall be delivered in a sealed envelope and clearly marked on the outside with the words TIER PARKING GARAGE MASONRY REPAIRS to the City of Butler Clerks office located on the 1st floor of 140 West North Street, Butler, PA 16001 before 10:00 A.M. prevailing time on October 21, 2026. Bids will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers on the 3rd floor of the City building at 10:05 A.M. on October 21, 2026. There is a NON-MANDATORY pre-bid meeting on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at Tier Parking Garage along West Cunningham Street, Pittsburgh, PA 16001. All bidders are encouraged to attend. Copies of Drawings, Specifications, Instruc-tions to Bidders, General Conditions, Forms of Proposals and Agree-ment are on file and open to public inspection at the office of The Gateway Engineers, Inc., 122 West Brady, Butler, PA 16001 where sets of said documents may be obtained upon payment of $50.00 per set. A $10.00 fee is applied if specifications are to be mailed. No refunds for purchased documents. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $500.00 per calendar day. This is a unit price contract. Prevailing wage rates apply to this contract. Proposals must be submitted upon the forms within the specifications. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workmans Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidders Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of the City of Butler in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within 15 days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Proposals shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting his Bid guarantee. The City of Butler reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, or any part thereof, for any reason, and also reserves the right to waive any informality therein.
