LEGAL NOTICE COUNTY OF BUTLER SUMMARY NOTICE UNDER LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT DEBT ACT Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the County of Butler will consider, at a meeting to be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. in the County Government Center, 124 West Diamond Street, Butler, PA (or such other date, at such time and place as the Board may lawfully announce and conduct a meeting not more than thirty (30) days from the date hereof), together with such other business as may come before the Board, the enactment of an Ordinance authorizing nonelectoral debt in the presently estimated amount of $9,175,000 and summarized as follows: Section 1 defines certain terms, including the Note and the Project, which consists generally of payment of the costs (or the Countys share of the costs) of: (a) capital improvements through-out the County completed in conjunction with other local government units and agencies of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania including all or a portion of: (i) tap-in fees and short-term user rate gap funding for the Franklin Road Waterline District; (ii) construction of a roundabout at Route 528 and Ramsey Road; (iii) right of way acquisition of land and related construction costs within the Londonderry Neigh-borhood Improvement District; (iv) providing water service to (A) the Briar Hill development in Jackson Township; (B) the to-be-developed parcels of land on Zehner School Road in Jackson Township and (C) Phase 3 of Jacksons Pointe in Jackson Township; (v) installation of main sewage lines and related infrastructure to service 314 properties in Summit Township to the Pennsylvania American Water pump station on Ziegler Avenue, pursuant to an Act 537 Plan; (vi) restoration and repair of pumps and piping at the pump station located at 614 East Mercer Road (Route 58) and at the lift station located at 100 Long Lane (off Route 8); and (vii) replacement of the forced main along the north side of Route 58 from the pump station about 3.5 miles to the border of Pine Township, Mercer County; and (b) issuing the Note. Sections 2, 3 and 4 authorize the incurrence of nonelectoral debt by the issuance of a General Obligation Note, establish a sinking fund, pledge the full faith, credit and taxing power of the County to the payment of the Note, provide the form, maturity amount, interest rate and the terms and provisions for the payment of the Note, including its form and companion Loan Agreement, which is authorized thereby. Section 5 contains federal income tax covenants. Sections 6, 7, 8 and 9 provide for the sale of the Note, set forth certain directions for Settlement and authorize other related and necessary actions.
