LEGAL NOTICE The Cranberry Township Board of Supervisors and Jackson Township Board of Super-visors will hold a special joint public meeting on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 7:00 P.M. at the Cranberry Highlands Golf Course, located at 5601 Freshcorn Road, Cranberry Township, PA. The purpose of the meeting is to accept public comment on a proposed joint Ordinance of Cranberry Township and Jackson Township entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF CRANBERRY, BUTLER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANYA, AND THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON, BUTLER COUNTY ESTABLISHING THE BOUNDARY BETWEEN JACKSON TOWNSHIP AND CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP; ADDRESSING THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL CO-OPERATION AGREE-MENT ENTERED INTO BY JACKSON TOWNSHIP AND CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP PURSUANT TO THE BOUNDARY CLARI-FICATION PROCEDURE; INTRODUCING A METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIP-TION AND COURSES AND DISTANCES PLOT OF THE BOUNDARY AT ISSUE; SETTING FORTH THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE ESTABLISHED BOUN-DARY; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND REPEAL OF ALL PRIOR INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES. This proposed Ordinance would establish with clarity the boundary between Cranberry and Jackson Townships as follows: Section 1 establishes that the authorization for this Ordinance is the Pennsylvania Second Class Township Code and Chapter 7, Section B of Title 53 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes. Section 2 incorporates a Municipal Boundary Report prepared by the Townships Engineers and designates and describes the boundary established by metes and bounds. Section 3 establishes the effect of the proposed Ordinance on any impacted properties on the boundary. Section 4 establishes the Ordinances effective date. Section 5 establishes the severability of the proposed Ordinance. Section 6 addresses conflicts within existing Township Ordinance provisions. A complete, true and correct copy of the proposed Ordinance is on file and may be examined or copied by the public at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center, 2525 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township, PA 16066, and the Jackson Township Municipal Building, 140 Magill Road, Zelienople, PA 16063, during normal operating hours. A copy of the proposed ordinance is also available for inspection at the newspaper publishing this legal notice or at the Butler County Law Library, 124 West Diamond Street, Butler, PA. After the special meeting is held on the proposed Ordinance, the Cranberry Township Board of Supervisors will consider the adoption of, and if appropriate enact, the proposed Ordinance at its regular meeting on September 3, 2026, and the Jackson Township Board of Supervisors will consider the adoption of, and if appropriate enact, the proposed Ordinance at its September 17, 2026, regular meeting.
